The calls consisted of responding to automatic fire alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, structure fires, motor vehicle accidents, brush fires, and emergency medical requests.
Over the past year, the fire department responded to 109 fire calls, and 153 emergency medical calls. The department has over 55 members including firefighters, emergency medical technicians, and fire police. The West Redding Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1915 and incorporated in 1926, to provide emergency services to the residents of District #2.
